It was a chilly, dreary, cloudy day, but we had a near-record
turnout for the plane wash, with some even bringing family
to help. We even had a couple of guys show up the night
before to wash a plane since they couldn't be here on the
scheduled planewash date. Truly a fantastic effort by everyone
involved, and we ended up with lots of clean, shiny airplanes,
and one fantastic breakfast. Thanks, all!
Q#1: How many pilots does it take to push an Archer (backwards)?
Q#2: The dog didn't REALLY wash the tires...did it??
Some pilots turning their "best side" toward the camera.
:) And here we see one of the advantages of the high wing
aircraft...you've got a front porch and a back porch for
those rainy days! And that step ladder goes up to the sun
deck...
Is he blow-drying it? I think we'd better shut it off
though, before we start waxing it.
This gig took lotsa potsa coffee...
The Archer's all done and ready to fly. The 172 gets
the final spit-polish from the "Wax Crew".
Look at 'er shine! With that fresh wax job, it'll be
so slick and fast it's liable to get away from us!
The newest addition to our fleet gets a good scrub-down.
"Hey, how come all you guys who wanted the low wing airplane
aren't over here cleaning the underside of these Hershey
Bars??" Some of our pilots even brought their family members
out to help.
Wow, would ya look at all those low-wings! Joe's babies.
:) And there are those same pilots, still pushing the Archer
(backwards)...
The Flying Country Club, Inc. is set up for its first

tables. They spent both days at the show. Rhea is digging
into a box of T-shirts with N8127L on them. That has been
her project and a
